Madison Heights, VA – The Monelison Volunteer Fire Department has been actively responding to multiple motor vehicle accidents since the onset of the winter storm yesterday. Engine 21 and Rescue 21 have been particularly busy, attending to numerous incidents caused by the severe weather conditions.

We are thankful to report that there have been no serious injuries resulting from these accidents. However, we urge all residents to modify their driving habits to accommodate the severe cold weather and icy road conditions.

Please exercise extreme caution while driving, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, and reduce your speed to ensure your safety and the safety of others on the road.
