Madison Heights, VA – With the diverse terrain in southern Amherst County, firefighters must be prepared for any situation, including technical rescues. This evening, Captain S. Daniel, assisted by Firefighter J. Hilty, led a training session for our members on basic low angle rope rescues using various types of rigging.

During the training, firefighters learned about different rigging techniques and how to properly and safely deploy them. They also gained insights into increasing pulling force during rescue operations, which is crucial for effective and safe rescues.
