Volunteers, Protecting Your Dreams…

Your Community Needs You!

As a Volunteer Firefighter Captain, I've witnessed the unparalleled bravery and dedication of everyday citizens choosing to stand in the gap for their communities. Being a volunteer firefighter is not just about battling blazes; it's about making a commitment to serve, protect, and give back to those around you.

It's about camaraderie, learning new skills, and becoming a vital part of a team that responds in times of crisis. Our department is always on the lookout for individuals with a heart to serve, a willingness to learn, and a courage to face the unexpected.

Your community needs you. Will you answer the call? Volunteer today and make a difference in your town, your neighborhood, and in the lives of those you touch.

Smoke Alarms

Three out of five home fire deaths result from fires in properties without working smoke alarms. Downloadable FEMA References and Checklists are available under under our Training dropdown menu above.

  • Choose interconnected smoke alarms, so when one sounds, they all sound.

  • Put smoke alarms inside and outside each bedroom and sleeping area. Put alarms on every level of the home.

  • Make sure your smoke alarms work. Your family is not safe if they can’t hear the smoke alarms.

  • Test smoke alarms every month and replace 9-volt smoke alarm batteries at least once every year.

  • Smoke alarms do not last forever. Get new smoke alarms every 10 years.

  • When you hear a smoke alarm, you may have less than 2 minutes to get everyone outside and safe.

Fire safety in October!

As the leaves change and the air gets crisper, it's also the time when many of you are starting up those fireplaces and setting out candles for that autumn ambiance. But with that comes responsibility. Please ensure your smoke detectors are working; it's a small step that saves countless lives every year. And if you're getting into the Halloween spirit, consider LED candles for your jack-o'-lanterns. Remember, it's the little precautions that prevent the big fires.

Stay safe and enjoy the beauty of October!

Dear Residents,

As your Fire Chief, I am reaching out to ask for your unwavering support. Our fire department is a pillar of this community, dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of each of our neighbors, homes, and businesses.

As we face budgetary constraints, rising operational costs, and the ever-present challenges of the job, we need the collective strength of our community behind us more than ever. Whether it's through volunteer work, attending our public events, participating in fundraisers, or simply advocating for the department's needs, your support is invaluable.

Together, we can continue to make our community a safe and thriving place to live. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, strengthens our mission and enhances our capacity to serve.

Thank you for standing with us.
