Madison Heights, VA – February 11, 2025 – The Monelison Volunteer Fire Department (MVFD) has responded to multiple motor vehicle accidents during this snow storm that impacted Madison Heights and surrounding areas. The severe weather conditions has led to hazardous driving conditions, resulting in numerous incidents requiring emergency response.

Chief Joey Malott of the Monelison Volunteer Fire Department emphasized the importance of road safety during such extreme weather events. "We urge all residents to stay off the roadways during snow storms to allow snow plows to keep the roads clear for emergency response personnel. Your cooperation is crucial in ensuring that we can respond quickly and effectively to emergencies," said Chief Malott.

The MVFD is working closely with local authorities to manage the situation and ensure the safety of the community. Residents are reminded to avoid unnecessary travel and to stay informed about weather updates and road conditions.
