Madison Heights, VA – On February 18, 2025, at approximately 2:22 AM, the Monelison Volunteer Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle accident at the 1400 block of River Road. Engine 23, Rescue 21, and Chief 2 were dispatched to the scene, along with units from the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office and Amherst County Fire & EMS.

Upon arrival, responders found that a vehicle had left the roadway and collided with a tree. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. The fire department remained on the scene until a wrecker arrived to remove the vehicle.

The Monelison Volunteer Fire Department would like to remind all drivers to exercise caution, especially during winter months when icy road conditions can pose significant hazards.
