The Monelison Fire Department began humbly with one truck and one station, but through the commitment of our volunteers and the trust of our community, we’ve grown significantly over the years. Today, the fire service in Amherst County operates out of five stations, equipped with:

• Engines
• Tankers
• Brush Trucks
• Squad Trucks

What We’re Looking For

We welcome individuals from all walks of life who are:

• At least 18 years of age (junior membership opportunities available for those under 18).
• Physically capable of performing firefighting duties.
• Committed to attending training sessions and responding to calls.
• Passionate about helping others and being a part of a close-knit team.

No prior experience? No problem. We provide comprehensive training and mentorship to ensure you’re ready to serve.
